MINERVA

Comic book concept group project.

"Minerva", set in the 70s, is about a heroine that takes revenge to sexually abusive men, for she is also a victim of sexual abuse.

Minerva, got her powers after she was transformed into a Bangkilan, a type of powerful aswang in the Palawan mythology.

ChARACTER DESIGN dEVELOPMENT

I did the character design and concept for the main character "Minerva", her looks was mostly influenced to the 70s singer, Cher, long flowy hair and petite physique.

I gave her a red and full lips to emphasize her power, because according to mythology Bangkilans can transform someone into a pig-aswang hybrid through a kiss.
