Kali Anastasio
Kali Anastasio is one of my first OC (original character) to design. Kali is one of the main characters for a Darna alternative universe story/comic I'm currently developing. Darna is a famous comic character in the Philippines. Basically, the story revolves around Kali, the son of Darna's main enemy, Valentina; and his journey to join the heroes' side.
ChARACTER DESIGn /CONCEPT
As the son of the snake villainess, Valentina, Kali's design would be highly inspired from snakes, but unlike her mother's medusa like design, I opted to give him snake scales rather than the usual snake-hair design.
His snake appearance only manifests whenever he is threatened or angry. His snake scales are durable and can endure extreme heat or force. I also decided to give him snake like abilities like flexibility and low light visions.
Kali's name was derived from the Hindu's mythological serpent named "Kaliya", and also from his weapon choice called arnis or kali sticks. Meanwhile, his surname, Anastasio, means resurrection.
